At St Andrew's we heard of Her Late Majesty's death on Thursday 8 September 2022 with great sadness. We are grateful, however, for her life, and especially for the profound faith in Jesus Christ, which strengthened her for a life of service.

We marked her death as follows:

The Union Jack was flown at half-mast.

A book of condolence was placed in the church. All were welcome to come and sign. Prayer candles were lit.

Our church bells were tolled half-muffled for the duration of the period of mourning. You can hear what they sounded like here.

A memorial communion service was be held on Sunday September 18 to remember Her Late Majesty, mourn her death and give thanks for her life and witness. The service sheet is here. The sermon preached can be heard here.
