New Here?
Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here for years, we hope our website will tell you everything you want to know about St Andrew's.
If you have more questions, please contact us here.
Better still, you are welcome to come to any of our services and check us out for yourself.
Key information about the church
Every Sunday at 9 am & 10.30 am, plus other times more occasionally.
For more information about the different Sunday services look here or at our calendar. For families we particularly recommend Forest Church & Messy Forest Church.
We meet at St Andrew’s Church at:
Mingle Lane

You can see a map here.
You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our welcome team who will be able to answer your questions. They will give you a service sheet and anything else you need for the service. Our different types of services are explained here.
Absolutely! We welcome everyone without any obligation on their part, and would love to meet you. We will help you explore Christianity if that is what you want.
There is no car park at the church, but plenty of on-street parking in Mingle Lane, Gog Magog Way and neighbouring streets. Cycling and walking are also good options if you are able - we have a bike rack and plenty of room for pushchairs and scooters.
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed as you like.
There is, in the vestry, and it may be used at any time before, during or after the service. There are also toilets in the Johnson Hall and Verger’s Cottage for the groups taking place there.
The church is, but unfortunately currently the toilet is not.
Yes! We have large print versions of books and service sheets, and we have a loop system.
No! We do not pass round a collection during services, and whether you make a donation or not is entirely up to you. You are welcome at St Andrew's either way, though we do appreciate all donations, large and small.
If you do want to make a donation there is a collection plate out during services, usually on a table near the church entrance, and a card reader/mobile payment box. For UK tax payers, Gift Aid envelopes are available near to the collection plate. Alternatively, and available at any time, a wall safe is on the right as you enter the church. Regular members can give by direct debit using the Parish Giving Scheme. We can also take payments by card or phone.
You can also make a donation online here.
Not at all, but we hope you will want to! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
They are always very welcome at St Andrew’s.
Click through for more information about our groups for children and young people. We have a wonderful youth worker called Zoe.
If any babies or young children need entertaining at any point during a service there are toys, books and colouring materials in the Lady Chapel and they are welcome to play there at any time during services.
Yes! St Andrew's adheres strictly to the Diocese of Ely and Church of England safeguarding procedures. Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Rob Needle, whose contact details are here.
Some people just want to leave quietly, and that's fine. Mostly people stay and chat, but there is no pressure to do so. Tea, coffee and biscuits are generally served after the 10.30 am service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions. We often celebrate birthdays and other events, and everyone is welcome to stay and join in.
St Andrew’s has supported the ministry women for a long time. Women and men are included equally in all areas of St Andrew's ministry and church life.
LBGTQ+ people are welcomed, accepted, included and safe here. The Church Council decided in 2022 that it would like to offer services of blessing for those same sex couples who are already in civil partnerships or married, and weddings for same sex couples, as soon as this is allowed by the Church of England.
Lots of volunteers and a few paid staff. If you want to know more about the church leaders, check out our Who's Who page.
