We are very pleased to be able to announce that our wonderful assistant priest and former curate, Revd Clare Coates, has been appointed to a the role of Team Vicar in the Lordsbridge Team. Clare is now vicar of Caldecott with Childerley, Dry Drayton and Hardwick within the team. Clare's last services at St Andrew's were on Sunday 16 October 2022. She presided at the 9 am BCP Communion. And at the 10.30 am All Age Sunday Worship we presented Clare with a set of mugs commemorating just a few of the things she had been involved in at St Andrew's. We also gave Clare a home communion set which had been donated to us by the widow of a retired clergyman. Wonderful that it will see a new lease of life! Her installation and institution to the Lordsbridge team was on Saturday 29 October at 6 pm in the delightful St Mary's Church, Hardwick. A large contingent from St Andrew's went to pray for Clare and cheer her on her way. Preparations for the service are underway in this video:
And here is Clare taking one of her various oaths. Clare has been terrific in St Andrew's, a huge blessing to us, and we will miss her greatly. We pray for her as she enters this new phase of ministry and send our prayers and best wishes both to her and those amongst whom she will minister. Clare's successor as curate at St Andrew's is Revd Lucinda Howard, who started with us in July.
