Support for young carers of substance misuse parents
St Andrew's has funded a regional project working with young carers across Essex aged 8-19 years who are affected by parental substance misuse.
'Harm can be hidden by a brave face in class'
Known as CHHAT, or the Community Hidden Harm Awareness Team, the project is run by The Children’s Society East, and aims to help young carers access the support they need, including their emotional wellbeing and safety.
